According to customers like Lisa M., the service here is not just attentive but also knowledgeable, catering to dietary sensitivities with grace. The Butter Chicken and Lamb Biryani come highly recommended, encapsulating the essence of traditional Indian flavors with a modern touch. On the other hand, Garrett N. highlights the staff's friendliness, creating an atmosphere where reservations are strongly encouraged, although walk-ins are often welcomed.
While the food is undeniably exceptional, there have been whispers about time constraints on dining. The occasional sense of urgency seems a small price to pay for the robust flavors and remarkable service.

Great food and options especially for those that don't eat meat or chicken. The staff are uber friendly and informative. Be sure to make a reservation although they do seem to accept walk ins as well. It's a great fresh Indian food series if restaurants worth visiting.

Excellent choice for Indian in SoHo. Gracious and attentive service. Accomodating to food sensitivities. Delicious flavors. Yes to Butter Chicken and Lamb Biryani. Good strong drinks (negroni and martinis). Nice atmosphere.

Ambience and location can't be beat! Portions are small but flavorful. Drinks were also made well. The only tacky thing is the dining time limit...they will literally try to kick you out as soon as you even approach the limit. It's hard when it's a big party, or you're looking to order 3 courses, drinks, wine bottle and eat!! Food did come out quick, but sometimes, understandably, if you can't find your waiter, you can't obviously order more and then next thing you know, they want you out! Same thing happened at the other popular Indian restaurant (D******), so be forewarned.

Went here on our vacay to London. The food and service were great. I like really spicy food so I asked for some additional peppers. The food had good flavor and a perfect spice level for those that prefer a medium spice level. I will definitely go there again next time I am in London

This was the last restaurant we dined at before returning back to the US, and I was not disappointed. I had tried Dishoom earlier on in my trip, and wanted something similar again. Came across this place, which had more tables open and less of a wait, and was impressed with their menu. It was overwhelming, but we were happy with the Chicken 65 and Dahi Puri that we ordered for appetizers. There were also a bunch of specialty drinks that looked great and I had a non alcoholic ginger fizz type of drink that was tasty. I would recommend this place to others coming to this area.

My only goal on my short trip to London was to devour as much Indian food as I could! I tried Masala Zone, which is located in the prime and lively spot of Piccadilly Square. I had the Masala Dosa for breakfast, and it was great. It was served with three chutneys: coconut, tomato, and peanut. Everything tasted really good and had a very authentic flavor. The server mentioned that they recently started offering a breakfast menu, as they are mainly known for lunch and dinner! The ambiance is quite royal, and they have ample seating space.

We were craving Indian food on our London travel and found Masala Zone after over one hour wait at Dishoom. Walked in on a Friday night around 8pm with party of two and were seated immediately. Excellent service. Big restaurant that feels way less stuffy than Dishoom. Food was amazing. We ordered the lamb biryani and the butter chicken Thali. The vegetable samosa was also amazing served with a mint chutney and sweet sauce. I'm getting hungry just writing this review. Skip the crazy wait at Dishoom and go here.

The food was phenomenal. We ordered several different appetizers and I order the lamb thali plate. My favorite appetizers were the fried shrimp and the chicken. Overall, 10/10 and would come back again.

The food here is phenomenal...however it's pretty pricey but worth it. Ambiance is super cute- def an upscale place. Their mock tails were really good as well, I tried the raspberry coke and it was 10/10. Butter chicken was so good we went back for more!

It rarely happens that we end up in an Indian restaurant without planning for it and this time was one of those and are we glad that it happened. We visited Piccadilly Circus to catch some live shows and stumbled upon Masala Zone. Decided to give it a try on a whim, and it was a delightful experience. The cuisine is packed with flavor, the atmosphere is inviting, and the customer service is top-notch. We only ordered appetizers due to existing dinner reservations elsewhere, but the pav bhaji, wada pav, and chicken 65 were all mouth-wateringly good. Wholeheartedly endorsed.
